08/07/2007 - Servicing Advisors support the newly founded Federal Association Loan Purchase and Servicing as founding member
On July 12, 2007 leading companies in the field of “non-performing loans” founded the BKS [Federal Association Loan Purchase and Servicing membership corporation] (in the course of incorporation). One of the founding members was Servicing Advisors Deutschland GmbH.
The focus of activity of the industrial federation is to become the representation of interest of the industry versus sellers, public, politics and authorities and at the same time it shall be focused on the enhancement of standards and a corporate governance for the German market. The advisory board will in particular be responsible for supporting the further development of ethical standards and regulations for the market and for campaigning for acceptance in public and politics. Furthermore, future legislation proceedings are to be accompanied from a scientific standpoint and practical experience is to play a part in these proceedings. The association will also take on an ombudsman function in order to be able to come to amicable solutions in controversial matters.
Dr. Jörg Keibel, Hoist AG, has been elected founding president of the association. Dr. Christine Reisinger, LINK Financial, and Dr. Marcel Köchling, Lone Star Germany, were appointed Vice Presidents. Jan-Simon Köritz, GFKL, holds the treasurer office. The Board of Management is supported by Eckhard Blauhut (Servicing Advisors), Ranald Coggle (Hudson Advisors), Peter Holzhäuser (GSSG), Jörg Olbing (ImmoAdvisors) and Michael Weinreich (EOS Holding) as committee members. Attorney Jan Mönikes has been appointed Managing Director who will initially also hold the ombudsman office and will manage the office in Berlin.
The “Bundesvereinigung Kreditankauf und Servicing e.V.” (BKS) already started its work as of today. In a first meeting of the Managing Board renowned personalities from the field of economy and science were called to the scientific advisory board who is to give advice to the industrial federation. Prof. Dr. Christoph Schalast of the Frankfurt School of Business and Finance is founding chairman of this advisory board. Further members of the advisory board are Prof. Dr. Rainer Stachuletz (Berlin School of Economics), Dr. Marco Wiedenhofer (KPMG), Dr. Jörg Wulfken (Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP), as well as Günter Gleumes.
